What We Believe

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.
1 John 5:1

That all scripture was given by inspiration of God and is without error and is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word is fully authoritative and trustworthy and sufficient for all Believers.

In one eternal, all-powerful, perfect God who is the creator and preserver of all things. God, while being one God, exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

That Jesus is God the Son and was with God in the beginning and was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He combined within Himself both the divine nature of God and the human nature in one body. He was tempted in every way, just as we are, yet He did not sin. He was crucified and died as atonement for sin and made the only way possible for men to find forgiveness of sin and obtain cleansing from all unrighteousness. After three days in the tomb, He rose again and later ascended into heaven where he lives and is acting as our mediator, interceding on our behalf. He will return to earth one day, just as He promised, to receive His Church and to judge the world.

That Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to His Church. The Holy Spirit is “God the Spirit” and is the One who convicts of sin, sanctifies, and assures the Believer of his salvation. He is to be an indwelling presence who teaches, leads, guides, and comforts the Believer. He purifies the heart and empowers the Believer for works of ministry by giving spiritual gifts to be used in the building up of the Body of Christ.

That by the Grace of God, the work of Jesus, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit, men may be reconciled to God, through repentance from sin and sincere faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial work. God grants Believers the right to become children of God and causes them to become new creatures now enabled to be in a personal relationship with God Himself.
