Salvation

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast
Ephesians 2:8,9

How to Receive God’s Eternal Gift of Life

Question: Who needs to be Saved?
Answer: Everyone!

The Bible says:

“…I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” John 3:3

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Question: What must I do to be Saved?
Answer: Believe what God’s Word says!

All have sinned

“There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.” Ecclesiastes 7:20

You cannot be saved by good deeds or sincerity or moral living

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9

“…He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.” Titus 3:5a

Jesus died on the cross for you and took the penalty for your sins

“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” 1 Peter 3:18

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Only Jesus can save you

“Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Question: Will Jesus save me now just as I am?
Answer: Yes!

God’s Word says:

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Question: How can I receive Jesus as my Savior?
Answer: It’s as simple as:

  • Admit your need (I am a sinner)
  • Be willing to turn from your sins
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave
  • Invite Jesus Christ to come into your life as your Lord and Savior

Question: How should I pray to receive Salvation through Christ Jesus?
Answer: You can pray as follows:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and that I need Your forgiveness. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins and giving me eternal life. I now ask you to come into my heart and my life as Lord and Savior and make me the kind of person you want me to be.

Question: Can I know that I have Eternal Life?
Answer: Yes!

God’s Word says:

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:11-13
