  • FCDS fall festival

    FCDS Fall Festival

    Join Friendly Care Day School for their first annual fall festival on Saturday, October 5th from 9am to 3pm. There will be games, food, craft vendors, bounce house, face painting and more! Bring your family and be ready to have a great time!

    Join us every other Wednesday from 6:30pm - 7:45pm starting on September 11th, 2024 for a women's book study led by Dee Mattingly. The book is titled "Untangle Your Emotions" and the cost is $13.25. Contact Melissa Schmutte for more information.

  • Fall Men’s Study

    A new men's study will be starting on September 11th, 2024 from 6:30pm-8:15pm called "Essentials of Faith". You can preview this study on RightNow Media.  Sign up on the bulletin board if you would like to participate. Contact John Schmutte for more information.     Every month we will be collecting items for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes to be distributed in November 2024. For the month of September 2024 we will be collecting:  Dolls, Coloring Books, Toothbrushes and Toothbrush covers.

  • Grief Share

    Grief Share

    If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. Grief Share is a ministry of HEFC that will be starting on September 14 from 10am to noon and will run through December 7. You do not have to attend every meeting and can start at any time.  There is no cost to attend this program. For more information about this new ministry, contact Susan Haynes or you can register below to be a part of Grief Share.

    CAP Mission Trip

    Our annual mission trip to Kentucky to repair homes for families in Appalachia will be October 20, 2024 - October 25, 2024. The team will leave on 10/20 at 7am and return around 9pm on 10/25.  To register, please sign up on the Outreach bulletin board and also complete the online registration.

A Note From The Pastor

I will be holding a New Member Class on Saturday, March 18th from 9-Noon.  If you are interested in learning more about Hanover Friends, please contact the church office to let them know you’d like to attend.

On Sunday morning, March 26th, I will speak on the fourth deadly sin, lust.  While I will not be too provocative, the sermon’s topic will at least be PG-13.  If you do not want your child to be in the sanctuary that morning for the message, we will provide an alternative in the gym.  The younger children will leave for Jr. Church as always.

That evening, March 26th, at 6 pm, we’ll gather again for an extended time to wait on the Lord.  We’ll have time for praise, prayer, sharing and silence.  This time won’t be too structured intentionally to allow the Holy Spirit to lead.  The idea is to provide an environment for personal reflection & connection to God in an unrushed way.
